LagenLand – 3D-Print Meetup in Groningen

On September 20th, the second edition of LagenLand took place. This is an evening meetup organized at Maakplek hackerspace in Groningen, where people come to showcase their 3D-printing projects and learn from each other. This time, I had the pleasure of giving a “flash talk” about my 3D-printed vacuum tables for desktop CNC machines.

I own a DIY CNC milling machine and occasionally need a vacuum table, rather than a vice, to hold flat stock during engraving. Some time ago, I decided to explore the topic of “vacuum workholding” and challenge the precision of my Bambu X1 Carbon printer. Initially, I tried too hard with many “brilliant” ideas, but in the end, the simplest solution turned out to be the most effective. I shared a bit about this journey with fellow 3D-printing enthusiasts at LagenLand.

If you’d like to stay updated on upcoming events like this, check out lagenland.nl or maakplek.nl and subscribe. If you’re feeling shy and would rather see how these events look, I’ve compiled a short video from the first two editions of LagenLand.
